Former AAUA VC cum OAU lecturer advises students on Nation building.

The Former Vice chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin Akugba, and a professor of international foreign policy, Obafemi Awolowo university, stated that students should make themselves an agent of social and political change.

Speaking at the political and educational summit organized by the education and political science student, Obafemi Awolowo university, he stated that when we spend huge on frivolous materials, we are not investing into the nation, as such nation building is impossible.

" when you spend seven hundred thousand on makeup; that doesn't add to you but shows that you are mundane and individualistic".

Also in attendance was the Head of department, Arts and social science education, Prof Omoteso;  Dr usman Ayegba, who was represented by Mr chinadu; and Mr Paul Akpomuje, a lecturer in the department of Adult and lifelong education.

Mr Akpomuje and Mr chinedu stated that a nation building starts with the renewal of every individuals mind to go on the right path. They challenged that though we hold OAU as being great, but our actions and in-actions do not portray the greatness.

" OAU is a beautiful school, but our actions aren't beautiful" Mr Akpomuje stated. " though we claim being great, we need to call ourselves to actions that are not great ". He concluded.

All the speakers in unison agreed that until we build our social capital, where interpersonal relationship are well grounded, and we can identify responsible individuals and encourage them to run for public offices; then we can say we are on a path to nation building.
