OAU Accounting SRC impeaches executive member, seeks immediate substitute.

The Accounting Students Representative Council, Obafemi Awolowo University has impeached the association's  director of socials, Oparinde Tobiloba Emmanuel popularly known as "Phardolee".

 

This  decision was made in a sitting held on Saturday after series of complaints by students as regard the unavailability of the department's jersey.

Mr, Oparinde Tobiloba Emmanuel was impeached in line with article 7 section 3(a) of the association's constitution.

In a report released by the representative council, it was stated that the decision was reached after evidences obtained showed that Mr. Oparinde Tobiloba was guilty of gross financial misconduct.

"After the information and evidences obtained by the ASRC and the executive council  had been discussed, it became obvious to every member of the association present at the sitting that the D.O.S was guilty of gross financial misconduct."


"Based on this, Honourable  Toxzyblack moved a motion for the impeachment of the DOS  and it was seconded by Honourable E-ben. Honurable  Mandela moved a counter motion but had no seconder, which implies that more than 2/3 of the honourables present at sitting are in support of the motion for the DOS impeachment."

The house further set up a committee to hasten the refund of the money paid for the jersey.

"The house went further to set up a committee to follow up by writing our staff advisers and the head of department so as to fast track the recuperation of the money paid by nuasites for this jerseys."

However, the representative council has released a notification to the public stating that the sales of forms to fill the vacant position has started.

"This is to bring to the general notice of NUASITES and NABASITES  that the sale of form to fill the vacant position of the Director of socials has commenced. Interested Nuasites can now declare their interest and obtain form from their Constituency leaders."

"The forms will be available from Monday 3rd of December, 2018."

The announcement was made in pursuant to article 7, section 3 of the association's constitution.
