OAU KILONSHELE
The Chairman of First Bank plc, Ibukun Awosika and the founder of Jobberman, Opeyemi Awoyemi, have been invited as guest speakers in the First Bank's sponsored entrepreneurship programme scheduled for October 5 and 6 at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
As gathered by this News agency, Tobechukwu Victor, popularly known as Peruzzi and Aboriomoh Raymond, also addressed as Dremo, have been booked to perform at the 2-day event, which will hold in Oduduwa hall of the university.
Speaking with OAU KILONSHELE, one of the partners of First Bank plc in the programme, the President of Economics departmental association (NESAOAU), Gbolagun Ezekiel, stated that the 2-day event is free with lots of knowledge to gain.
He said that the organizers are sure to give lots of food to the students to keep them far from being hungry as the programme will commence by 10am on Friday and 9am on Saturday.
"Several gift items and souvenirs to be given out in both days and several opportunities are as well available," He said.
He also added the questions that will be addressed at the programme.
"Self discovery and value creation.
How well have you discovered yourself ? How best can you add value to yourself? What is next after school for you? How best can you develop your Entrepreneurial mindset?.."
Mr Ezekiel commended the effort of FirstBank for the decision to give back to the student community, not only OAU students, as the event is open to neighbouring institutions for free.
He further said other institutions should emulate First Bank.
" Students should register for the 2-day event so as to activate the opportunities available, make it a date to attend and spread the news of First Bank coming to OAU so no student is left behind," He urged.
